THIS IS MOROCCO ITINERARY 4 DAYS DESERT TOUR FROM OUARZAZATE TO MARRAKECH

Day 1: Travel from Ouarzazate to Merzouga, the Magical Sahara Desert

After a filling breakfast, your exciting 4-day journey begins in Ouarzazate. Our tour will begin in the morning and wind through a fascinating tapestry of Kasbahs, charming villages, and beautiful palm groves.

The rest of the day is spent driving through beautiful countryside to the stunning Dades Gorges, where a delicious meal is waiting. After that, we travel through the lush Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses, which is famous for its yearly festival and early May rose harvest. The highlight of your day will be Todra Gorge, where you may meander beneath breathtaking canyons that tower approximately 300 meters above you.

We’ll get to Merzouga as dusk falls over the horizon. Get ready to ride a camel far into the Sahara to witness a breathtaking desert sunset. At your desert tent, the evening comes to a close with a traditional Moroccan feast played to the rhythm of a neighborhood drumming party. Enjoy stories, songs, and dances beside a roaring bonfire before retiring to your comfortable desert tent beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 2: Visiting Mystical Merzouga and Surrounding Areas

Before returning to camp for a revitalizing wash and breakfast, greet the dawn with a mesmerizing Sahara sunrise. The rhythmic melodies of live Gnawa music in Khamlia village then take over our day. Following a tea break in a nomadic Berber tent, the journey continues with an off-road dune tour—a fascinating cultural immersion.

After lunch, a 4×4 dune-bashing excursion will slake your hunger for excitement. The day ends at a relaxing motel close to the sand dunes.

Day 3: From Merzouga’s splendors to the Dades Valley’s riches

We advise getting up early to catch another stunning desert dawn. We say goodbye to Merzouga after a sumptuous breakfast and proceed to Rissani, one of the oldest cities in Morocco, where you may see its traditional marketplaces.

Then we travel to Erfoud to visit the Fossils Museum for a short while. After a relaxing lunch, we travel on to Dades Valley. Take in the beauty of the unusual “monkey feet” rock formation before navigating the gorgeous Dades Gorges. At a nice hotel with a tranquil river view, the day comes to a close.

Day 4: Exposing Dades Valley, Ait Benhaddou, and Other Secrets

After breakfast, continue your exploration of the enchanted Dades Valley before traveling via the Rose Valley to Kel’aa M’gouna. Visit the organic cosmetics cooperatives in this area to find out how the locals make rose-infused scents.

We continue on to Skoura Oasis along the famed Road of a Thousand Kasbahs. Admire the carefully preserved Kasbah Amredhil and the palm groves that surround it.

Our next stop is the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that has been featured in popular films and television shows including “Gladiator” and “Game of Thrones.” We continue through the Ounila Valley to Kasbah Telouet, a palace with exquisite tilework and complex wood carvings, after a guided tour and an optional lunch. End in your Riad in  ouarzazate.
