The journey leads through the Atlas Mountains, presenting glimpses of customary Berber communities.   • Day 2: Dades Gorges – Rissani – Merzouga


The second day leads from Dades Gorges to Merzouga’s Erg Chebbi dunes (the Sahara desert). En route, passages through Berber villages such as Todra Gorge, Tenhir, Erfoud, and Rissani, a city of significant religious importance in Morocco, where the present ruling dynasty originated. The founder’s resting place lies in this village. The trail extends over rugged terrain to the Merzouga desert, where a fleet of camels awaits.
