There is a very different and smaller Kasbah in the oasis of Skoura, Kasbah Amredhil, to discover. These kasbahs are some of the main features of a desert trip from Marrakech, like nowhere else in the country. At Kela’a Mgouna in the Rose Valley, you can stop to shop for deliciously scented organic cosmetics made from locally grown Damascus roses. In the Dades Valley, you will spend a night in a traditional guest house in the middle of Berber villages. And in the narrow and high gorges of Toudgha, you can stretch your legs or go on a hike with a local guide.

After a welcome glass of mint tea at the luxury desert camp, you will leave for that sunset camel ride. So you can add photos of your group wearing blue turbans with the sunset in the background. After dinner, you will Have Berber music in the evening with the nomads around a campfire. Try your hand at the beat of the drum before falling asleep in a comfortable luxury tent near the dunes. The next morning, after such a quiet and silent night, it is worth getting up early to watch the sunrise as the last day of your Marrakech desert tour begins.

Your 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga Desert will start around 7:30 am from your riad or hotel. We will start our 3-day tour in the desert of Morocco with a drive to Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou. First, we will have to cross the Tizi Ntichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Many stops will be made along the way. Visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This amazing village has also served as the backdrop for various Hollywood blockbusters. We continue to Ouarzazate for lunch (Free time). In the afternoon, we head to the oasis of Skoura, known for its Kasbah of Amridil, which is worth the detour. From there, we continue our journey via the Valley of Roses and the village of Kalaa Mgouna. This region of Morocco is famous for its Damascus rose distillation plants. Behind the window of your car, you will see amazing Berber settlements fortified in adobe called Ksours. At the end of the day, we reached our hotel located in the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight

DAY 2 : BOUMALNE DADES, TINGHIR, MERZOUGA, SAHARA DESERT

After breakfast, cross the road of 1001 Kasbahs to Tinghir. Upon arrival in this wonderful oasis, you can take a walk along the banks of the Todgha River. Visit Berber villages and ksours. Only when you reach the incredible towering cliffs of the Todgha Canyons, will you realize that your morning adventure was truly worth it! Treat yourself to a delicious Berber lunch at leisure in the Gorges before continuing to Merzouga. Upon arrival at Erg Chebbi, meet up with your camel caravan where the road ends. Ride a camel and traverse the changing-color dunes to admire one of the most spectacular sunsets ever. Arrive at your campsite in the Sahara Desert just before dark. After settling into your tent, enjoy climbing one of the nearby dunes to marvel at the tranquility of the desert. A well-deserved Moroccan dinner will be served to you under the stars. You will now prepare to test your drumming skills with the nomads. Around the campfire, your hosts will entertain you with their Tamtam drums. Enjoy the nearby dunes, which display a large screen of shooting stars and crystalline constellations. Overnight in your Sahara Desert camp.

DAY 3: MERZOUGA, OUARZAZATE, ATLAS MOUNTAINS, MARRAKECH

Today, prepare for a sunrise camel ride on Erg Chebbi before meeting your guide. Return to Marrakech through the volcanic landscapes of the Anti-Atlas Mountains to the village of Nkob. Once in Ouarzazate, do not hesitate to ask your driver to stop at the Cinema Studios if you wish. You can have lunch at your leisure in the city center. In the early afternoon, continue your journey crossing the High Atlas mountains and the Tizi Ntichka pass. Your private 3 days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga will end at your hotel or riad by mid-afternoon.
