We will go on our 2-day Ouarzazate-Zagora tour towards the Erg Chegaga Dunes after eating breakfast in the hotel early in the morning. En route, we’ll stop in the village of Agdez and the Draa valley, renowned for its abundance of palm palms. Before continuing to Zagora, we will make many stops for photos and exploring. We will have lunch in Zagora at a café next to Amzerou town, which serves as a staging area for the Mhamid and the Jbel Bani mountain. After that, we will travel off-road to Mlaalg Oasis and move on to the Erg Chegaga Dunes desert camp. We will ride the camels towards the high dunes to catch a glimpse of the sunset, which is one of the most breathtaking sights in the desert, once we arrive and take a break with some mint tea. Depending on your preference, the night will be spent in a private or a nomadic tent admiring the night sky.

We’ll embark on a tour to learn more about the area after eating breakfast and taking a shower at the camp. Let’s first go to the Iriki Lake and capture some great photos. We will next proceed to Fum Zguit village to spend some time there exploring. After that, we’ll travel to Taznakhet, a well-known Beber town for women-made handmade carpets, where we’ll have lunch. Finally, we’ll return to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Morocco,” where many of your favorite films and television shows, including Gladiator, Babel, and Game of Thrones, were shot. Before our two-day tour of Ouarzazate and Zagora comes to a close, we’ll also stop by the Kasbah of Taourirt.After lunch in Taddert, tour the neighborhood’s Argan Oil Cooperative to learn how the women there extract valuable oil from the argan nut to create oil used in the food, cosmetics, and health industries. As you approach the Tizi n’Tichka pass, continue on the winding road and pause to take in the expansive view. Continue east and pass through the Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, many of which are dilapidated due to their pisé mud construction (rammed earth). You will pass a lot of small towns on your way to Boumalne Dades, where you can see traditional farming practices being practiced. As you travel through fragrant Kela’a M’gouna, the “Valley of the Roses,” keep an eye out for nomads caring for their livestock. Eventually, you’ll reach Boumalne Dades, a significant town spanning the Dades River, and your overnight accommodation.
