Tour Plan

Welcome to Morocco! Your journey begins in Casablanca with a visit to a modern architectural masterpiece: the Hassan II Mosque. Sitting majestically on an outcrop over the Atlantic, its soaring minaret seems to touch the sky. Afterwards, we journey an hour north to Rabat, the stately capital. Here, you'll spend the afternoon exploring its layers of time, from the Chellah Necropolis, where Roman and Islamic ruins lie side-by-side, to the serene, blue-and-white washed streets of the Kasbah des Oudaias.

Today we head into the rugged beauty of the Rif Mountains to discover the enchanting city of Chefchaouen. Before settling in, you can opt for a refreshing hike to the beautiful Cascades d'Akchour. In the afternoon, you’ll be free to lose yourself in the "Blue City's" dreamlike atmosphere. Untouched for centuries, its medina is a peaceful sanctuary of blue-washed buildings and friendly locals. As dusk begins to fall, a short walk up to the old Spanish Mosque rewards you with an unforgettable panoramic view as the sun sets behind the mountains, casting a golden glow over the magical city below.

After a quiet morning in Chefchaouen, our journey continues south, taking a detour through millennia. We’ll explore the sprawling Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can walk in the footsteps of caesars among ancient temples. Next, we’ll visit Meknes, another of Morocco's grand imperial cities. As we finally approach Fes, we’ll pause at the ruins of the Merenid Tombs. From this hilltop vantage point, you can gaze down upon the ancient medina as the evening call to prayer echoes across the valley—a truly spellbinding welcome.

With two full days, you can truly immerse yourself in this living medieval city. On your first day, a local guide will lead you through the beautiful, bewildering labyrinth of Fes el Bali. You'll visit the famous 11th-century Chouara Tannery and marvel at the intricate beauty of the Al Attarine Madrasa. On your second day, delve deeper into the city's artistic legacy at the Batha Museum, watch master artisans at work at a Ceramics and Tile Collective, or perhaps take a cooking class to learn the secrets of Moroccan cuisine.

Today is a day of epic travel. We leave Fes and journey south, climbing through the cool cedar forests of the Middle Atlas mountains, home to playful barbary macaque monkeys. After crossing high mountain passes, we’ll descend towards the Ziz Valley, a stunning ribbon of lush palm groves. Soon, the first majestic sand dunes of Erg Chebbi will rise on the horizon. Here, you’ll trade your vehicle for a camel and begin a timeless trek into the golden sand as the sun begins to set, arriving at your traditional Berber camp for the night.

Wake to an unforgettable Saharan sunrise. After a morning exploring the dunes, we journey west, stopping in the village of Khemliya to experience the soulful rhythms of Gnawa music and visiting the chaotic, authentic market in Rissani. Our journey then takes us to the spectacular Todra Gorge, a natural cathedral with towering red limestone cliffs, where you can take a leisurely walk and cool your feet in the refreshing river.

Our journey continues west along the legendary "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," a romantic drive through a landscape littered with crumbling fortresses and fragrant rose valleys. We'll pass through Ouarzazate, the "Hollywood of the Desert," before our day culminates at the most famous kasbah of all: Aït Benhaddou. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a storybook fortress, and we'll spend the night here, giving you the unique chance to wander its ancient, empty alleys after the day crowds have gone.

Today we embark on the most breathtaking drive of the trip, climbing up and over the spectacular High Atlas mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass. As you descend, the landscape shifts dramatically, and soon you'll feel the energy change as we plunge into the vibrant, intoxicating chaos of Marrakesh and its legendary Jemaa el-Fna square. As night falls, this vast space transforms into an unforgettable open-air carnival of snake charmers, musicians, storytellers, and food stalls.

With two full days to explore, you can get lost in the magic of Marrakech. Your first day is for a guided discovery of its most famous sights: the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, the serene beauty of the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the dazzling, sensory labyrinth of the souks. On your second day, explore at your own pace. Discover hidden gems, explore the grand palaces of the southern Kasbah area, like the opulent Bahia Palace, or simply relax and find a moment of peace in the lush Majorelle Gardens.

Today, we trade the city's fiery energy for the fresh, salty air of the Atlantic coast. The scenic drive takes us through endemic argan forests where, if you're lucky, you might spot the famous tree-climbing goats. We’ll arrive in the laid-back, blue-and-white town of Essaouira. Walk along the 18th-century Skala de la Kasbah, where old brass cannons line the seafront ramparts, explore the charming UNESCO-protected medina, and feel the wind on the expansive beach. For dinner, there’s nothing better than feasting on freshly caught seafood.

Known as the "Windy City," Essaouira is a paradise for kiteboarders. Spend your final morning watching them dance across the waves before we begin our scenic journey back up the coast to Casablanca. This relaxing drive is a chance to see more of Morocco's beautiful shoreline. Enjoy a final Moroccan dinner in Casablanca as you reflect on your grand tour.

Enjoy a final Moroccan breakfast. Depending on your flight, you may have time for a last stroll along the Boulevard de la Corniche or a nostalgic drink at Rick’s Café—a beautiful recreation of the bar from the classic film. When the time comes, you’ll be transferred to the airport for your flight home, filled with the memories of an epic journey.
