Erg Chigagaga From Foum Zguid
DAY 1: FROM FOUM ZGUID TO ERG ELMHAZIL -LAKE IRIKI
Your meeting will be in Foum Zguid with your desert guide. Before beginning your desert tour, head to Erg Elmhazil, one of Morocco’s largest sand dunes. The first brief break will be to take in the breathtaking view of Elmadouar Sghiir, a Tajine mountain. Before crossing the dry lake known as Lake Iriki, you will then visit the fossil plateau. after traversing the lake Iriki plateau’s half. The following morning, after breakfast, we will go to the nomadic school to see how the nomad kids commute to class and to get more information from the teacher about the nomad kids’ way of life. We’ll also stop by the small village of Sidi Abd Enbi and the old ksar, an abandoned building that once housed our great-grandparents. Then we’ll return via the same route to Foum Zguid..
