THIS IS MOROCCO ITINERARY 5 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGIER to marrakech
1 day : Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen
At 8.30 in the morning, you will depart from your hotel or riad in Marrakech to drive through the High Atlas Mountains. There will be opportunities to pause and take pictures at panoramic vantage points. The powerful Glaoui tribe, whose wealth was derived partly from the salt mines just outside the village, had its headquarters at the opulent Kasbah of Telouet, where the tour is scheduled to begin. As a result of the last Pasha’s property being seized for conspiring against the King, each addition to the building now stands in ruins, exposed to the wind and rain. Wait until you get to the far end of the Kasbah to be surprised by the authentic interior decor. Green fields and gardens in the Ounila Valley can be seen running parallel to us as we pass. The road winds through numerous bends, surprising travelers with the colors of the rock and soil as it passes by Berber villages, gardens, and smaller Kasbahs. The main crops and sources of income for many families in this region are olives, almonds, and fruit trees. The Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, the oldest and most well-known in Morocco and one of the country’s seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites, is accessible via this breathtaking road. The earthen constructions are perfectly adapted to the climatic conditions and in harmony with the surrounding natural and social environment, and the architectural style has been well preserved. Its origins were most likely in the 17th century, and many Hollywood blockbuster movies have used it as their setting. After traveling an additional 30 kilometers, you spend the night in an Ouarzazate riad.
2 day : Chefchaouen- the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After breakfast, explore the charming alleyways of the blue city Chefchaouen at your leisure. The 5-day desert tour continues with a visit to the ancient Roman ruins at Volubilis, which are well-preserved and listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. These ruins feature numerous lovely mosaics and attractive old pillars and archways. Following our stroll through the ruins, we make the 30-kilometre trip to Meknes, the capital of the Ismailis, where we visit Bab Al-Mansour, the Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary, and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Next, we travel to Fes. Stay the night in a riad.
3 day : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara
We leave for Ifrane after breakfast by taking Imouzzer to the south. The city is well-known for its frigid temperatures, snowfall, and homes built in an Alpine style. It makes sense why it is referred to as Morocco’s Switzerland. The Barbary macaques live in the cedar forest, where we next go. While exploring the woods, feel free to give them food. We then travel on to Midelt, where we will have lunch on our own. Then, with stops for panoramic views, we continue driving through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass and along the Ziz valley. We arrive in the late afternoon in Merzouga, a desert in the Sahara. After switching to camels, you cross the sandy desert and stop to take in the sunset atop a tall dune. Continue to the camp, which combines the luxury of a hotel with the traditional nomadic tents, where you can dance around a campfire while listening to Berber drum music under a starry, open sky. 4 day : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Get up early to take in the breathtaking sunrise. Availability for breakfast. After that, we depart the desert to Rissani Town, the former seat of the Tafilalet government. Still, a significant trading hub in the area is Rissani. A sizable souk that is active on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. After taking a stroll through the souk in Rissani, we travel to Erfoud to visit one of the factories producing fossilized marble. Then, on the way to the Todra Gorges, we pass through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad. A large canyon has been carved out through the mountains by the Todra River. Rock climbers will love this canyon’s high red cliff sides. You are welcome to explore the gorges and take in the scenery. Lunch on your own in a restaurant. Then, through Boumalne Dades, we proceed to the Dades valley. Stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation and a location atop a mountain that provides a view of the Dades valley are unavoidable. Dinner and a hotel stay the next day.
5 day : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech
On the fifth day, we travelled to Kalaa Magouna to see the Rose Valley after breakfast. Every year in May, the community holds a rose festival where they sell everything related to roses, including perfumes, rose water, oil, and cosmetics. Afterwards, we travel through Skoura’s palm groves to the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Next, we arrive in Ouarzazate, where we go to the Taourirt Kasbah and the filming locations for well-known movies. After that, we drive off to see the well-known Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. a village with defences designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The Kasbah has also been featured in films such as Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy, etc., and TV shows like Game of Thrones. The Telouet Kasbah is our next stop. The High Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N Tichka pass are our next stops in Marrakesh. There will be lunch breaks and photo stops at notable locations. Finally, we will drop you off at your Marrakesh Riad lodging. The tour is over. The 5-day Morocco tour has come to an end.
