 The High Atlas Mountains near Marrakech offer some of the finest trekking in the world. This a stunning five day trek in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco. We trek through a variety of landscapes from lush valleys to barren rock. The route takes us through colourful Berber villages and over nice mountain passes.
The trek will be supported by a berber team ; Mountain guide, cook and muleteers & mules for luggages.The nights will be spend in the gites ( berber homes) .

Itinerary

Day 1Marrakech ––tizi n'tachte –tiziane

Pick up from marrakech for a comfortable force south up via the moulay brahim to reach at to the better foothills of the western atlas mountains and our start line of imi oughlad (1450m) to the jbel toubkal , at 4167 the highest height in morocco and north africa , aglzim (3650m) and aksoual 3884m ,displaying before us . here we alight from our car and meet up with berber muleteer group. we start our trek up in north-westerly path for a 2 hour acclimatisation hike up switchback mule paths , passing with the aid of cornfields woods pine and juniper to the tiz n’tachete (2000m),in which we shall prevent to appearance go into reverse on the imlikl and ait oussaden valleys earlier than wearing on for every other half-hour to imi n’ifri and our area picnic .thence a gradual hike for approximately 2 and 1/2 hours south-west down alongside a clay track to assif n’ ait oussaden and the red clay village of tiziane ( 1750 m )for set our camp inside the gate

Day 2Tizziane – tizi n'taghrhourte – D'knt

After breakfast we now continue on our hike up along the assif n’ait oussaden valley ,by passing via the walnuts groves , up to tizi n’taghrhourte (1995m ) through to an extraordinary almost flat stretch to arrive at assaka , in which we are able to stop for our area of picnic amidst and high-quality silence after some 2 hours and 1/2 smooth on foot .our afternoon’s hike takes us down alongside the rims of the forest until we reach the berber village of d’knt (1870m) or towards n assoul where we can have rise the camp and spend the night time

Day 3D'knt – tizi n'tagdalte – tizi oussem

We set off for our morning’s three hours hike up through walnut groves, fields of corn and barley to greet the numerous sheep and goat herders – and ladies bent over with 18kg load of faggots and dried herbs. we go the tizi n’tagdalte to the descent amongst the juniper trees of juniper until we come to a small spring set among the trees, wherein we can forestall for our meal .as soon as refreshed , we’re off down winding tracks of higher slopes for 3hours to return to a small river at the beginning of the lassif n’ait oussaden .valley . from right here we be part of the village of tizi oussem (1850m) then up to the summer village of tamsoult for our camp

Day 4Tizi oussem -- Tizi M'zzik --- Imlil

Trek to small waterfalls at azib tamsoulte and returned to pass the tizi ‘n mzik skip (2500m). we be a part of the main toubkal valley in imlil (1,900m), where we spend the rest of the day and night time night in our guesthouse

Day 5Imlil – Tizi n Tamatert – Ikkiss – Agersioual - Marrakech

A 6 to 7-hour trek beyond Berber hamlets and a pair of mountains passes, with jbel very wellïmeden in sight. catching as a great deal surrounding and herbal splendor as is feasible. nowadays walk start by heading east from imlil (1,740m) alongside the tamatert valley before turning north via the bypass named tizi n’tamatert (2,279m) and down thru the berber village of tinerhourhine into the imenane valley. this valley is then observed to the north, alongside winding mule trails via almond, walnut and apple groves and terraced berber hamlets to the villages of ikiss and as much as amssakrou. right here a picnic lunch is commonly taken, presenting a high-quality view of the height of jbel o.k.ïmeden (3,268m) and the 2 passes, tizi n’ou arg (2,258m) and tizi n’tiratene (2,268m). the return is in a westerly direction via the skip, tizi n’aguerssiouâl, then thru the assif n’ aït mizane valley and lower back to imlil.
next the walk resumes alongside mule trails and past escarpments thru the tizi n’aguerssiouâl bypass (1,767m) and directly to the village of aguerssiouâl inside the assif n’ aït mizane valley (2,664m) and then south back up the valley toward the peaks of jbel toubkal, aguelzim and aksouâl to the villages of taddart and aït souka wherein the stroll heads east again in imlil prior to pressure to marrakech at the afternoon.
