snowline and the toukbal shelter (3206m), our forestall for the night. approx 5hrs taking walks.

mountains severa scree fields, wherein we can ought to negotiable a reputedly endless carpet of boulders and rocks. the walking is enormously sincere, however the scree and the altitude will make the going pretty hard in elements, but, the perspectives along the way make the adventure extra than profitable. cresting the ridgeline we find ourselves at the plateau, from where it’s miles a quick walk to the summit and the vistas out throughout the surrounding landscape are pretty breathtaking. from here there are unrestricted perspectives in every path, from the marrakesh simple to the excessive atlas inside the north and as some distance south because the anti-atlas and the sahara. pliny, the amazing roman pupil, once described the high atlas mountains as “the most splendid mountains in all of africa” and from our vantage factor high above the valley it is easy to understand why. retracing our steps we then return down the mountain and head back in the direction of imlil previous to force again to marrakech.
