We had a 3 days desert trip to Merzouga from Marrakech . We decided to do the private tour, instaed of group tour because, we were first time travellers and did not want to be rushed. We were picked up by our lovely guide from hotel. We crossed High Atlas Mountains to Ait ben haddou kasbah, UNESCO world heritage site. It was amazing place to see along the way to Sahara desert. The guide at the beginning was very informative. He is also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about his country and we have come away with a much deeper understanding and appreciation of Moroccan culture and history. We also had our camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes of Merzouga, together with our camel shepherd Med. The food is amazing, the colors of the landscape, the towns, the food, the art work, the desert the sky everything is just breathtaking (especially the Sahara!). The camel ride and the sandboarding in the dunes, flawless!
