Day 1: Meet at the port of Tangier and drive to Chefchaouen
On the first day of your 10 days Morocco tour, we will meet you in Tangier Port/Airport, we will start driving to see Hercules Cave as it is one of the famous sites in Tangier, then we will continue to Chefchaoun via the Rif mountains to enjoy the view of the beautiful mountains to the blue city of Chefchaoun, the photography paradise where you will have the first interaction with Moroccan culture. Overnight in Chefchaoun
Day 2: chaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez
After breakfast at the Riad, our journey will begin towards Volubilis crossing Ouazan and other villages of the Rif. In Volubilis, we will stop to discover the Roman ruins and learn more about this incredible archaeological site of Moroccan history. Then we will head to the city of Meknes, the 17th-century heritage where we will stop for lunch and walk around the huge historic walls of the Medina, Bab El Mansour, and continue enjoying a visit to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. After discovering the city of Meknes, we continue to Fez where you will spend the night.
Day 3: Visit of Fez
Today is to explore the oldest city in Morocco, stroll through its alleys and small streets. Our visit to Fes Medina begins with the visit of the gate of the Royal Palace,the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built as well as the other most interesting sites of Fes. Overnight in Fes
Day 4: Fez – Sahara Desert Merzouga
Early in the morning, we start the day towards the Sahara from the Riad in Fez, crossing near the national park of Ifran “the Switzerland of Morocco” as he calls it. To enjoy its beauty and have memorable photos, a break will be taken. After that, we will drive to Azrou to see Merzouga Barbary Apes in the cedar forest. We continue to Midelt for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will cross the Tizi N Telghomt pass to reach Errachidia while admiring the view of the Ziz gorges which offers amazing photographic opportunities. Later, we will stop for a Ziz Valley panoramic view. The route continues towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi passing through Aoufous and Erfoud, the capital of fossils, where you may wish to visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that, we will continue to the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for a 1.5-hour camel ride to enjoy the sunset. Night and dinner at the campsite in a nomadic tent.
Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Dades Gorges
we continue our 10 days Morocco tour, by visiting the biggest movie studios in “Hollywood of Africa”, Ouarzazate where so many movies have been filmed such as Games of Thrones, Prison break season 4… Ouarzazate is also home to the biggest solar power plant in Africa, and famous for its craftsmanship (wooden gates, silverware, carpets, etc.) as well. Later, we head to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Unesco World Heritage Site – where many international films have been shot (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of thrones…). Your 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech will continue through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) over the Atlas Mountains where you will admire the special Berber villages before arriving at your Riad in Marrakech, the end of our 5 days tour in the desert of Fes Marrakech
Day 6: Dades Gorges – Ait ben Haddou – Marrakech
We start our day of visit by taking the road of a thousand kasbahs to reach the valley of roses; always spectacular in April and May when the roses bloom. We head to the city of Ouarzazate, then to the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou the most restored ksar in the south which is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We visit the site and have lunch there. Later, we continue to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountain range via the Tizi N Tichka pass 2260m with beautiful landscapes towards small valleys and Berber villages. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon and night in a Riad.
Day 7: Guided city tour of Marrakech
A full day tour of Marrakech, one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco founded by the Almoravid dynasty at the end of the 12th century and still an attraction for its unique history and culture. Our local guide takes you through the city’s most notable highlights. The visit of Marrakech includes the Saadian tombs, the Menara, the Majorelle gardens, the Koutoubia mosque with its minaret, the Bahia palace, the souks and the Djemaa el Fna square. Free evening for different activities on the square. Night at the Riad.
Day 8: Marrakech – Essaouira
Essaouira is the “darling” of many tourists Formerly known as Mogador by Portuguese locals, it is a charming little town on the coast well known for local crafts, in particular cedar wood furniture, carving and small art objects, sold in countless shops along the windy streets. After being there around noon, you will have free time to walk along the coast and discover the Atlantic coast of Morocco. Night in Essaouira
Day 9: Transfer to Marrakech
Explore Essaouira and relax more in this beautiful coastal city in the morning. In the afternoon we return to Marrakech and have time to enjoy the last dinner in Morocco. Night in Marrakesh
Day 10: Transfer to Marrakech airport
