10 DAYS MOROCCO TOUR FROM CASABLANCA Itineraries
Day 1: CASABLANCA – RABAT – ASSILAH
Beginning of the 10 days Morocco tour from Casablanca, today we will meet you in your hotel in Casablanca or the airport and drive to Assilah, we will visit the biggest mosque in Casablanca one in Morocco then we will drive to Rabat La Capitale & the King’s residence, you will see the Hassan Tower and walk in the Kasbah of the Oudaya & after lunch we will drive to Assilah Night in a local riad in the Medina riad Dar Manara or similar (BB).
Day 2: ASSILAH – CHEFCHAUEN.
Today you have a free morning to discover this beautiful city of art, most of whose walls are Medina painted by various famous artists around the world. Your visit includes the Skalla Fortress and after lunch, we drive to Chefchauen & Overnight in a riad in the Medina riad Assilah.
Day 3 : FREE DAY TO EXPLORE CHEFCHAUEN.
Today you have a free day to discover the blue city of Chefchaouen with its whitewashed houses. walls and blue doors and windows its history and its hidden treasures. There is a lot to see and fabulous shops with many artists and crafts exclusive to this town. Chefchaouen was occupied by Spain so there is a lot of influence from the Spanish and Moorish civilizations & Night in a riad in Medina (BB).
Day 4 : CHEFCHAUEN – MEKNES – FES
After breakfast in your riad, we will start our tour of Fez via the archaeological site of Volubilis where you can explore Morocco’s famous Roman ruins (UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997). Then we head to Meknes, the Ismaili capital of Morocco. In Meknes you will visit the fascinating Bab Mansour gate built by Sultan My Ismail; the attic and the Sahrij Souani which they used for irrigation and planting. Your tour also includes the Mulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, we will drive to Fes and spend the night in a local riad (BB)
Day 5: Visit of Fez
Today is to explore the oldest city in Morocco, stroll through its alleys and small streets. Our visit to Fes Medina begins with the visit of the gate of the Royal Palace,the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah ever built as well as the other most interesting sites of Fes. Overnight in Fes
Day 6: Fez – Sahara Desert Merzouga
Early in the morning, we start the day towards the Sahara from the Riad in Fez, crossing near the national park of Ifran “the Switzerland of Morocco” as he calls it. To enjoy its beauty and have memorable photos, a break will be taken. After that, we will drive to Azrou to see Merzouga Barbary Apes in the cedar forest. We continue to Midelt for lunch in a restaurant. In the afternoon, we will cross the Tizi N Telghomt pass to reach Errachidia while admiring the view of the Ziz gorges which offers amazing photographic opportunities. Later, we will stop for a Ziz Valley panoramic view. The route continues towards the dunes of Erg Chebbi passing through Aoufous and Erfoud, the capital of fossils, where you may wish to visit a local fossil craft workshop. After that, we will continue to the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at the hotel and get ready for a 1.5-hour camel ride to enjoy the sunset. Night and dinner at the campsite in a nomadic tent.
Day 7: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges – Dades Gorges
we continue our 10 days Morocco tour, by visiting the biggest movie studios in “Hollywood of Africa”, Ouarzazate where so many movies have been filmed such as Games of Thrones, Prison break season 4… Ouarzazate is also home to the biggest solar power plant in Africa, and famous for its craftsmanship (wooden gates, silverware, carpets, etc.) as well. Later, we head to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou – Unesco World Heritage Site – where many international films have been shot (Gladiator, Lawrence of Arabia, Game of thrones…). Your 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech will continue through the spectacular Tizi n’Tichka pass (2260m) over the Atlas Mountains where you will admire the special Berber villages before arriving at your Riad in Marrakech, the end of our 5 days tour in the desert of Fes Marrakech
Day 8: Dades Gorges – Ait ben Haddou – Marrakech
We start our day of visit by taking the road of a thousand kasbahs to reach the valley of roses; always spectacular in April and May when the roses bloom. We head to the city of Ouarzazate, then to the Ksar Ait Ben Haddou the most restored ksar in the south which is classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We visit the site and have lunch there. Later, we continue to Marrakech crossing the High Atlas mountain range via the Tizi N Tichka pass 2260m with beautiful landscapes towards small valleys and Berber villages. Arrival in Marrakech at the end of the afternoon and night in a Riad.
Day 9: Guided city tour of Marrakech
A full day tour of Marrakech, one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco founded by the Almoravid dynasty at the end of the 12th century and still an attraction for its unique history and culture. Our local guide takes you through the city’s most notable highlights. The visit of Marrakech includes the Saadian tombs, the Menara, the Majorelle gardens, the Koutoubia mosque with its minaret, the Bahia palace, the souks and the Djemaa el Fna square. Free evening for different activities on the square. Night at the Riad.
Day 10: Transfer to Marrakech airport
